05 Product Engineering

Apps, Mini Programs & Mini Games

One team from product definition to launch.

Custom development for iOS, Android, WeChat / Alipay / Douyin mini programs and mini games. Product, design, frontend, backend, QA and launch support in one team — for new products and for digitizing an existing business.

FIT

Who this is for

A good product is not a pile of features. We define the smallest complete loop, build it as production software, and iterate with real usage data after launch.

01

Validating a new product

You know the user and the problem, and need a usable release on a limited budget to test retention and willingness to pay.

02

Digitizing an existing business

Bookings, membership, service delivery or field work still run on paper and spreadsheets.

03

Need a mini game or interactive experience

A brand activation, learning game or lightweight game needs a reliable build that can actually launch.

OUTCOMES

What you walk away with

Not a feature list — outcomes that enter the business, get measured and can be owned.

01

A clear product loop

Define the target user, core task, critical path and success metric before spending on peripheral features.

02

A launch-ready client

An app, mini program or mini game covering the core flow, edge cases, performance and compatibility.

03

An operable backend

Content, users, orders, data and permissions so the business team can operate without engineering.

04

A controlled launch

Store assets, privacy disclosures, permission list and test accounts prepared, with support through review and release.

DELIVERABLES

What is delivered

Exact scope is tailored per project. Every deliverable has a clear acceptance method.

Product requirements and scope
Interactive prototype and UI design
iOS / Android / mini program / mini game client
Backend API, database and admin console
Test report and launch checklist
Source code, deployment docs and handover

PROCESS

How we deliver

Every stage has a reviewable output, so the project never becomes a long black box.

01

Define

Clarify user, scenario, core task and business goal. Draw the smallest launchable scope and acceptance criteria.

02

Prototype

Validate the critical path with a clickable prototype. Lock information architecture, visual direction and stack.

03

Build

Ship a demo every two weeks. Test on real devices. Harden performance and error states as you go.

04

Launch

Prepare store assets, privacy compliance, test accounts and release checks. Launch, then iterate with real usage.

FAQ

Common questions

Something else? Email us. We usually reply within one business day.

How long does an app or mini program take?

A well-scoped mini program usually takes 4–8 weeks. Projects with a complex backend, payments or multiple app platforms usually take 8–16 weeks. We provide a staged plan after scoping, not an unverifiable fixed estimate.

Can you guarantee app store approval?

No one can guarantee approval on any platform. We prepare privacy disclosures, permission purposes, test accounts and store assets against current rules, and help diagnose and fix rejections.

Who owns the source code?

Within the scope of the contract, custom source code and documentation are handed over to the client. Third-party open-source components and platform services remain subject to their own licenses and terms.

Should we build an app or a mini program first?

It depends on acquisition, frequency and required capabilities. High-frequency or offline-heavy use cases often justify an app; lightweight, share-driven use cases inside WeChat often start as a mini program. We recommend a path during definition.
